Has anyone fished the pond at Josey & Peters Colony? Looks to have decent cover on one end but I have never seen anyone fishing or have any info.

Unless they dredged it it has always been shallow and silted in bad. However it has been years since I tried.

I fished that pond for three hours about two years ago--got one little bass. The pond looks great from the road, but has a history of drying up and being drained a couple of times. It's one of those ponds that looks great, but isn't a good fish habitat.

i live quite close to that pond, and never caught much of anything during the day. At night caught a couple 5lb. catfish and a bunch of babies catfish too. try where the water dumps off to the canal at night,

Go get you a loaf of bread and feed the ducks, the carp will show up. Ultra-light rig w/small hook was a blast!
