A friend of mine on my soccer team told me he has seen carp in creeks at sherrill park. Does anyone know more of this?

I have seen them while playing golf. Not sure how you would get to them, might take a look on google earth.
Common carp 26
Goldfish 9.78lb

Take a close look to see if you are dealing with Commons or Grassers. If they're in the creek, they are likely Commons. If they are in inner traps, they could be Grassers.
I've seen pods of Grassers at Tangle Ridge (14#ers), and at Canyon West (30ish #ers).
I swear each time I go to each of them I will pack a rod and some corn in my bag.

I live on the golf course and fish the creek that runs through it regularly. There are koi type carp in the large pond to with the concrete bridge across the skinniest part and there are some pretty big unknown type carp in the creek running through the course. However, the guy that i guess manages the course is kind of a d-bag and yells at me all the time about how "there's no fishing allowed on the golf course!" so you might wanna be careful if you go for the pond.

You can also access the creek, and a couple of sweet spots, from lookout park, just head down the trail. You can get down to the creek that way and the best fishing, and the biggest carp i've seen so far, down current a bit.
