Maybe I dreamed this up, but I seem to remember a picture in the older Bassmaster mag's of an angler (I think it was Paul Elias) bowed up on a fish while the bow of his boat was about 5 feet in the air coming off some huge waves.

It may have been an ad and it may have been just a cool photo they featured.

Does anyone recall this picture and know where I could find it? Was talking about it at work the other day and would like the guys at the shop to see it.

It was a full page pic with caption. If it the one I am thinking of. You can find pics on google image sometimes.

I remember a pic taken at the great lakes some odd years back and between the waves you couldn't even see the anglers legs or front half of boat. Was awesome

The picture was taken at the New York Bassmaster invitational on lake Ontario and it was a motor guide promo, me and Paul split lodging cost back then.

I told the guys at the shop the other day that it was either a MotorGuide ad or part of a B.A.S.S. spread. I think we can safely assume it was a MotorGuide ad based on your responses.

I've googled the cowpatties out of this thing, though, and still haven't found the dang picture yet. One more search and I'm changing my name to Boolean!

Thanks for everyone's help.

David Vance: that must have been a pretty cool time back in the day. I think it is pretty awesome that Paul has made such a resurgence as of late.
