Caught this 2+#er in the first few minutes of throwing a crankbait on a main lake point. In the afternoon we went under the bridge for @ an hour and caught 40+. Out of those there were 5 keepers. Most of the others were 9 3/4" and were all caught on a jig with BG plastics. Should end up being a great little crappie lake.

I was wondering if they stocked any crappie in that lake. I may have to give it a try in the spring.

Stocked it with both black and white adult crappie awhile back. Should be great by next spring.

Have you been on the lake? You can be in 25' of water and the brush is 18' thick for hundreds of ac's. No way to get a jig any where near the bottom. Its the same in shallower depths. They will be fish that won't see a bait for years.
