When does the fishing start to pick up on Monticello? I've heard it starts around mid-October. Is this true?

If you watched last weekends Honey Hole, it looks like it's already pretty good. They caught some nice ones up in the grass and pads on frogs.

I can't wait to go back. I've only been there once.

Its hard for me to leave Fork to go there especially since I haven't done very well there. I hear good things now and then though about Monticello.

Im headed there this morning. Were they fishing the pads at the upper end, or on the other side of the railroad bridge?

Sad, but they are slowly shutting down the mine and the power plant it seems. The are suppose to be down to only one stack this winter and it may not be producing much electricity. Water temps may not be what they have been.

Here is a video of them imploding the Cross Pit Spreader in the Winfild mine.

That's great news in my opinion. I want us to have clean air, but not at the expense of losing peoples jobs and loss of power causing brown outs.

Thanks for that update BUbass903!!

Oh, the fishing at Monticello is a by product of the power plant, but I love that too!!!

No matter what we use for power there will be environmental consequences. Good to see some people with authority using their heads.

Ruling did not matter to EFH. Only one stack this winter.

This is what I purpose we the people demand that we do not want our taxes cut but that money go to fund clean burning plants. Jobs stay or come back. See I'm a Yellow Dog Democrat and I know we can do anything we want. We butt heads way to much
