They were biting pretty good today. Got to the slip at sunrise and fished 6:15- noon. Started off the day quick pickin off a few good ones and a few dinks in 22 ft of water off the Lavonia free ramp. Then I couldn't find em for a while. Found some small yellows at one point but then bam! 2 at a time. Lots of keepers in 3 ft of water against the train tracks for about 45 minutes and then they bailed. Then I found another good school by the cut. 3-12 ft of water. Biggest of the day went 14.5 inches. It's the first 2 pics. The 3rd pic is my second biggest. Saw no boils.

I went out again yesterday with 3 buddies. The waters off Lavonia have been very active lately. I always graph good stuff out there. Fished for about 2 hours in one spot once we found em. There was nothing deeper than 19 feet. Caught 96 Sandies, 1 blue cat, 3 crappie and a gar! I haven't tried much crappie fishin yet but every once in a while u can slab one if u are in shallow enough water! Only 17 keepers outta the bunch but it was fun!

I'm thinking the same thing. If I can slip out for a morning deal this week that's where I'm going.

Nice catch... only caught one on a Roadrunner off the point at Brockdale in the kayak. Other than that, got a decent workout...! Today's Video.

Dub the Hybrids are there. You have to look around a little more for them--LOL--. I just want to get into some fast and furious catching for an hour or so. Last year Lavon was on. This year it is a little late but I am going to be heading out there soon.thumb

Fished Ticky Creek this afternoon. Had to call it quits early when the wind picked up. Did catch and release two fish - a White Bass and a Largemouth Bass. Both were little.... Today's Video.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Took my mom out to get her on some fish this mornin! Started off by the train tracks but it was just too windy for our taste. They were there but they wouldn't stay in one place. So we moved to the east edge of the dam and killed it for about an hour n a half. Lots of doubles and my mom actually pulled in the biggest of the day! A nice 14 incher! They were all hugged up on the bottom at 18 feet. Just drop the line and BOOM!
