Just looking for some opinions I have located a used 70# thrust power drive that fairly cheap and I planning on adding an ipilot to it its v2 and Boris marine says it's compatible with it but I don't know if it has enough thirst to pull my boat against the wind the is a 19 ft catamaran style bay boat I think the dry weight is 1500 wanted some more input on this thanks

It would probably do ok. I have the 80# on a 22ft CC and it's plenty

I feel differently--I always think too much is better than not enough. I have an 80 Ipilot on my 19 1/2 ft CC and if I had anything bigger I would go with the 36v trolling motor. Since you are on this section of the forum I would guess that you fish open water a lot and if you fish in the wind you will want a bigger TM. The electronic anchor has held me in the same spot in 20mph wind on several occassions. It is cheaper to buy what you might need than to buy something underpowered, sell it then buy what you should hav ein the first place.
