Where are they? Looking for lakes not ponds or creeks. I only know of one, Lady Bird Lake, Austin.
Any others?
I'm looking for a comfortable lake to fish with parking close to the bank and no boaters tearing up the lake over my lines.

Aren't a bunch of the lakes in LBJ Grasslands troll only? Maybe be all of them?

All of the community fishing lakes would fall into this category. These are small lakes contained completely within a city park or state park. You can find a list of them on the TPWD website along with the specific regulations for that lake. Most have different bag limits than the state wide limits and only allow rod and reel fishing. I've fished the one in Cleburne State park and done pretty good. There's another one in Tyler state park but I've never fished it. Not sure where you're located so I don't know if those are close to you or not but ther are a bunch of them on the TPWD website.
Good luck!

Pflugerville Lake - North of Austin
180 acre lake. no motors (except trolling motors)
Lots of catfish, bass, perch, etc.
I've even heard of some carp in there, but haven't seen any yet.
Good luck

Lake Madison in Madisonville, has boat access, Idle only. Aprrox 75 acres. Lake Raven Huntsville state park, boat access(Idle only).
Have fished both, both have some good bass. Not sure how lake Madison did after the drought last year though.

Lake Mineral Wells west of Ft. Worth is a no wake lake as is Purtis Creek. Park staff at Lake Mineral Wells told us that the outboard size limit and wake restrictions had been lifted for the most part. Not sure what "the most part" meant, but we saw people flying across the lake. We took it pretty easy since we didn't know the lake and saw a lot of tree branches sticking out of the water on the north end of the lake.

White Rock Lake in DFW is HP restricted and only allows electric motors on bass boats. It is a tough nut to crack but has some nice fish in it.
