gonna be fishing 4 to 3 feet of water and was wondering how much leader do i need on a popping cork for trout and reds?

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn

Do you want to know how deep to fish beneath the cork? You won't need a leader when fishing for trout and reds unless you are near jetties, pilings, rocks, etc. If you are that close to obstructions to need a leader you will be hung up most of the time.
