Went up there Sunday morning for about 3 hours and had two bites on weightles Senko. Grass does not look healthy and a lot of slime in it.

Gonna have to fish the rip rap. Cranks on the points, tx rigs drop shots or shakey heads on the rocks. Shad pattern on cranks, Green Pumpkin, Blue Sapphire, Black, and watermelon red on the plastics. You can even try a topwater along the edge of the rocks in the morning.

It is slow. I caught seven or eight weekend before last and fished it from 8am-8pm. The largest only being around four pounds.

Drive 1 hour east.

seems to be slow all over from what I'm hearing, not a lot of real hot action so far this year on the local lakes either, seems like fork is the only one really doing any good

Dom, Fork is slow too. I don't care what people say, you talk to guides off the record and a lot of them are struggling. I think it's everywhere right now.

I plan on trying this lake next month, sure sounds like a difficult one to catch large mouth bass on.

Is Lavon Reservoir a better choice?

I fished from 6am-11am on lavon Friday, boated 12 or 13. Most around 3 lbs, wind was pretty bad couldn't run too much.

We fished Sandlin sun and only had a few fish in the morning. We came around a point and the sandbass were going nuts. Needless to say we took our limit and had a fish fry sun night. Mmmmmm.
