Dos Parks - I checked this area out on Saturday evening. Nice spot. I caught several bass from shore (not much shore to really work with). I did not bring the Yak. This looks like a great area but, wow, a bit tricky in getting the kayak in and out. Not much land to work with. Are you putting in right by the bridge or down that path to the right?? Do you need any type of ropes to get out?

Take the path with the rocks down to the river the tricky one and this is the only place i really see to get down to river. no ropes just grab the yak and go. its tuff getting down and up. alot easier with 2 people...will probably go again this weekend sat or sun morning...

I went there on Sunday morning. This is a really good spot that is close to home. I caught several bass, sunfish and a catfish. I got a large carp on an ultralight set up that was very fun. Water was quite clear. Caught everything on a beetlespin(black) and a crappie jig (red).

Isn't it kind of hard to get a yak up and down that steep, high bank?

I did paddle up river. I think I could have gone further then I did. I hit a stretch where the water release was going and I couldn't get past it although I didn't give it a 100% effort. There are some really nice pools up there. I wonder if there are sand bass there in the spring? I saw some great drop offs that looked great for that kind of action. Also wonder if there are crappie there?

Getting Kayak in was easy. Gravity is your friend. Getting out is a bit of a challenge but doable.

Dosparks- I am in non fishing mode for next 3 weeks due to family obligations. Darn kids. I will post next time I plan on going back out there. I would like to join you. I want to see those pigs.
