Was running on Fork yesterday and lost power for just a few seconds. Engine didnt die, just went from running 3/4 throttle down to barely on plane, then kept goin and ran fine all the way to LFM. 1st time ever happenning in the 12 years I've had the boat. bubble in fuel line or something?

it would be a good time to check your fuel pump diaphram. It might have some debris in it.

The antisiphone valve on fuel tank outlet may be starting to get sticky. Remove it and put a brass fitting, or knock out spring and check ball in the old fitting. Cary

it would be a good time to check your fuel pump diaphram. It might have some debris in it. Had my boat serviced at Martin Pro Outdoors earlier this year. He said the fuel pump was in awesome shape. thanks for the responses.

Did it pull down slow or was the loss instant and the come back instant
It might have picked up some trash also check the connection where the fuel line plugs into the motor I can't remember if you have a quick connect or strait connection

2000 Yamaha v4. Very, very low hours, garage kept.
My problem is worse now. Today on Fork, I was running and the motor complely shut off on me. It lost RPM, never regained like it did a few days ago, and quit. This happened three times. The 3rd time had me worried b/c she wouldnt re-start. I checked the primer bumb and it was not hard, so I squeezed it back up and we were able to make it back. I pulled the cowling off (again) on land and noticed a fuel smell and noticed that the "cup that holds the fuel filter was kinda loose. I tightneed it back up but I think the problem is still not solved. Should I go ahead and change the filter? Not sure if it was changed during my spring tune-up (Matt?) MPO also changed out my fuel line & primer bulb
