I got the cooler second hand from a supplier that pulled a rear wheel of a f150 on top of this cooler to test strength. Cooler is strong and still looks like new.

Went to the Glass Cactus this weekend after a wedding. Some Dbag had a Columbia shirt on with a Yeti Cooler ball cap. I lmao at him and shook my head.

I have three Yetis.

Roadie
65 qt.
155 qt.

I won't own another. They're too danged heavy. Only reason to have one is if you need to keep something frozen solid for several days straight, in high heat. They do great for that.

I prefer my Coleman Extemes on wheels over the Yetis for keeping things cold, storing ice, ease of movement, etc. And price!

The Brute coolers are very comparable to the Yeti except lighter and more affordable, the owners are right here in the Fort Worth area and they stand behind their product, I have a 90 and am looking at a 2o right now.

Might as well lock the thread, there is nothing else to be learned.

I still have all of the Gott ice chests I ever bought, with that track record I don't need to buy more.

They also have a water dealie that goes in the lid, so I freeze my own ice that way.

My first Gott a little one, keeps ice real long. I have to say my big Gott cracked a bit on the outside and I added duck tape to it. Still works.

They are made by Rubbermade now?? So don't know.

I previously did A LOT of camping in the N Texas heat..... I found the best thing I could do for long (5-day) weekends was to take deep oven pans, fill with water and put them into my DEEP FREEZE for at least 2 days. I would line the bottom of the cooler with the permafrost, put beer and goodies on top and fill in with regular ice. 4th of July, 5-day weekend on the Guadalupe and I would ALWAYS bring ice home...........
