It feels like winter never arrived and we have been in spring/summer mode for months. But the dog days of summer will be here before we know it along with the 9th Annual Barta Boys & Girls Club Billfish Tournament. In addition to the billfish tournament we will also be hosting our 2nd Annual Inshore Tournament for Spanish, Bluefish and the elusive Pin Fish. Having both tournaments allows us to include families of all boat sizes, said Tred Barta tournament founder. The economy has taken a toll on many in the fishing industry, this is one tournament that has a price tag that fits everyones wallet.

Beaufort Town Docks 252-728-2503 to reserve your slip. This year we will continue to have our early entry fee of $500 for boats that are 39ft or less. This is only for the first 20 boats to enter and there will be a $500 cash drawing between the 20 entries and one boat will receive their entry back. With the inshore tournament available there is no reason not to enter early.
Boats that enter the billfish tournament are automatically entered into the inshore tournament. Entry fees range from $500 to a sponsorship level of $1,200. The inshore tournament entry fee is $350 and that includes 4 tickets to all of the dinners, captains bag and beverages.
