Thanks, although the fight was good he mostly fought himself. He wrapped himself around a pylon and about 3-4 minutes I thought it was hung up. Then it came loose and he floated up tired as heck.

I think he fought the pylon more than he fought me lol.

He swam away just fine

I can remember "Aquatic Ash" posted a nice carp that she had caught off of Dunlap a few months back. She said it put up one heck of a fight. You Austin Anglers are nailing some super fish. Thanks for the postings. woot

Thanks guys.

Ash the sunfishing has been pretty terrible to be honest. I still haven't found the bigger ones this spring and can't even find numbers yet.

I'm sure I'll run into a monster bed soon enough.

Have you hit Barton in a while?
I haven't fished LBL in a good 2 months.

Same with me. Last time out some moron jumped off the Barton Springs bridge and almost landed on me.

I can't take the mass crowds of rental canoes and paddleboarders. I'd rather deal with the wakeboarders on Lake Austin

Top notch angling there. Large powerful fish on ultra-lite set up wow! It takes someone who knows what they are doing to land a fish of this size on that gear. Any carp on any rod set up is amazing to me. Don and his other carp buddies are a breed apart when it comes to landing big fish.
PP, I was told by some of my competition that they were hounded by some big redbreasts up near the Selma Hughes boat launch I did see some pics so I know it wsnt BS. you may try it out. Again what a great job!!!!
