I'm kinda new to fishing. I was wondering if there are any fishing clubs/groups that meet. I am hoping to get some info on where the best places are to fish (bank fish since I don't have a boat). I'm in the north Ft. Worth area and fish Grapevine some - no luck so far. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to do a search for area bass clubs in your area, there are alot of clubs that pair up none boaters with boaters, like our club Century Bass Club but we are out of garland which is probelly to far for you.
But if you can get in a club that pair up boaters and non boaters, you being the non boater you can learn alot from the people you get paired up with.
Good luck in your search

MissGoneFishin,

I am relatively new to the area and, like you, was interested in joining a club. I recently joined the Grapevine Bass Anglers Assoc.

We meet the 4th Tuesday of every month at Scott's Landing Marina on Lake Grapevine at 7:15 PM. We have tournaments every month on many area lakes. Our next meeting is tomorrow night (6/24). Come and check out the club if you like or you can email me or post a reply for more info.

We have a website that has some contact information etc. The newsletters and things are a bit outdated, but I hope to change that at our next meeting.

Joe Dolan is the current president and he is the person I first contacted about the club. In any case, the website is
http://www.grapevineanglers.com

There are also a few other websites listing other area clubs. A couple that I thought were pretty good are:
http://www.txfishing.com/texas_fishing_clubs.htm

and
