I would stick to good old fashioned worms. However if you use those glow fly's let us know how they work. Who makes em?

I was fishing with Mike "USMC_GY" last year on Dunlap. There were a ton of Mayflies due to a hatch. They were everywhere. Mike takes one of those flies and puts it on his hook. What does he catch. A nice Bluegill. He also caught a nice Rio. Fish due seem to bite on their natural food. Keep us posted on how you do with the fire flies.

I have friends who catch and use natural baits. They seem to work very well. Let us know how they work.

I've used glow in the dark soft plastics for bream before. Seemed to work great. Especially at night in clear water and/or in turbid water. Never used actual fireflies for bait but have seen quite a few get sucked off of the top of the water. Just enough life to be a target and not enough life to throw off vision.

My husband and I talk quite often about how we never see them anymore. But we call them lightening bugs. However, I moved from the Hill Country to Austin 8 years ago so that may have something to do with it. When I was a kid, we use to catch them and put them in jars. Great idea tho! If you do use them, post a report.
