I'm thinking I may need a new tilt/trim motor. The other day at the lake, I trimmed up all the way when pulling boat out of lake. When I went to lower the motor, it wouldn't come down. Used the manual release. Afterward it worked again with the switches. This happens every once in a while. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Change out both relays and clean all wire plug-in connections. The motors do go out but normally wo`nt start working again. If it does it again, tap the trim motor to check.

The motor doesn't sound as smooth as it use too. I guess I'll need to get a manual and figure out where the relays are located. Thanks for the suggestion.

Those relays are pretty expensive. I would troubleshoot it before I just changed them out.

I'm located west of Ft. Worth. Who would you recommend as an authorized Yamaha service tech?
