 LMF this tuesday or wednesday?

I have never fished the river. Anyone what to team up and help a rookie out. I'm free either the 24th or the 25th. I may make it a evening then camp and fishing until lunch on the second day. Anyone interested just let me know.

I will be going in the morning. I have to wait until the fly shop opens so it will be a little late start but I will be there if anyone wants to meet up

Throw woolly buggers till the shop opens. Should pick up a couple good ones early. Start fishing at 6 am. Walmart has woolly buggers that will work fine till the shop opens.

Does the LMF still fish well in June? Thinking about a trip when school gets out, before I head up to CO.

Best fish I ever caught up there was in June. Problem is the crowds. Wed and Tur are best to beat the crowds and it gives the fish time to get settled back down from the weekend. I usually go down river from the park to get away from crowds. Right now is a good time to fish Presbeterian Falls . You can get a map from Jessie and Linda King at 3 Rivers fly shop. Just remember when generation stops it takes 8 hours for water level to fall at Presbeterian Falls. Tarpon is right about the buggers. I am primarally a streamer fisherman and I would not hesitate to take off dn river with nothing but a snuff can full of buggers, olive is the primary color. Just remember that the wading up there is tretcherous because the rocks are so slick. I would not want to be 2 miles down river by myself with a sprained or broke ankle. I have 2 places up there and I fish when I can and my wife fishes it a lot. pm if I can be any help.

Oh yeah. Ask at 3 Rivers about generating schedule. Last week there was no ryhme or reason to it. Only got to fish about 2 hours in the morn below State Park Dam but got 1 18" and lost 1 bigger.

Gracias, Flank. I'll PM if I decide to drive up. I would definitely go mid-week. The only other time I've been was over Thanksgiving 2 years ago, so I don't even think the weekend crowds would compare to the tomfoolery going on then.
