The fish are coming outta the deep!!! This has been our most successful fishing trip yet this summer. Water is about 80-87 degrees and stained only in the tributaries otherwise clear. Light wind and foggy in the am. Air temp was about 65 at 630am. First cast of the day caught the first keeper on watermellon seed 6" trick worm on a carolina rig. Caught more little ones off the grass beds by Union Grove park and the fishing dock. About 10am moved up into the shallows by the island and started slamming them. Caught the first one over there on a neon green/chart buzz bait about 2 1/2 lbs. The rest were on watermelonseed lizards dipped and sprayed with garlic. Everything was complete finesse. Almost couldn't move the bait at all.
