I was wondering if anyone is doing any good on canyon at all right now with anything. Me and my buddy nabbed 6 in about an hr few days ago 4 pm in the afternoon sunny hardly a breeze. 5 largemouth biggest was 16.2" and I nabbed a smallmouth that was 17" it was over near ramp 2. I've been since then nothing again though.

"...there's a tear in my beer....."

It's such a good looking lake, handy too. I was sure wishing for some reports. Actually, what I wish is that it could produce more shad. I don't even recall the last time a saw a big ball of shad.

Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

Well I caught a couple so it's a report about as good as it gets from canyon half the time lol. It is handy its a shame it's not a better fishery they're there you just only get a few at a time from there. I'm going about again sun on a boat and still looking for any advice on anything that's biting or at least encouragement that we might catch something.

We fished Easter weekend and and had our best luck on the lower end of the lake. Of couse, that is also where the wake boarders are...but the fish must be pretty used to all that noise on Canyon. Mornings was topwater time; followed by a White Ice Fluke
near Ledges and Bluffs. Late afternoons worms and baby brush hogs on lightly weighted T/R. I will catch more fish on 1/16 oz lead...than any other weight. Visibility was 10 to 12 feet and fish were scattered....we saw a school of smallmouth swim by, and every fish we hooked was being chased by other fish. For me 5 keepers are hard to come by on Canyon...but we had more Smallmouth over 2 lbs this trip.

Sounds like Canyon is en fuego! So much so that I might slow down and look over at it while I'm dragging my boat down 46 on my way to LBJ.

Anyone know the results from the Hooters T that was out there on Saturday 4-14?

At tamale I would like to go to other lakes like choke but I live about a mile from here and don't get much time to go anywhere else but every avid fisherman knows time on the water is better than no time at all. Bad day fishin's still better than the best day at work smile

When I fish Canyon I call it casting practice.

Just one more cast!

Went out for a couple of hours early today. Got real foggy for a bit till the sun burned it off. Water temp around 71 deg. Caught one striper on topwater and a couple of lmb on dropshot. Nothing to brag about for Canyon but I didn't have to go to work today. So it was a great day for me.

Thanks. I released them for another day and another fisherman. I don't eat striper and prefer catfish to eat. My brother in law provides fish for me for the table.

How is the catfishing on this lake? Probaly gonna go up there this summer and bait a few holes for cats...thought about baiting near a marina or something and see what happens.
