Hi folks,
First post here. I would like to get some info on safe, clean, places to stay around Falcon Lake that have hookups for people that trailer their rigs. Just looking for people that have had personal experience. Hotels, Cabins, B&B's etc. that are close to popular marinas would be preferable. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the TFF!
No Marinas on Falcon. County ram is on the north end near most hotels. I prefer Holiday Inn. State Park ramp is on south end by the dam, 25 min drive from Zapata. Good luck down there!

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like we're going to miss the good bite since I'm probably looking at May / June timeframe but it'll give us some time to check out specifics on the trip. Might do a couple of days at Choke Canyon on the way in.

May and June are as good as any months on Falcon.

Honestly, I do not think there is a time that can be labeled "bad bite" on Falcon right now. You can go there and blank, but it is probably because you are not on the fish, not because they aren't biting. Best advice I can give is to get a guide for day one. Use the knowledge of the patterns fished and duplicate that over the next few days and you should have a blast. Oh, and take long sleeve light colored shirts, big hat, and lots of spf 100 sunscreen.

We stayed at Sunbridge in Zapata... It was clean, plus you can back your boat up the hotel room. We would stay again

That's some good solid advice. Thanks a bunch chasinbass. I think we'll do just that. Any idea what a guide for a day is charging? trying to keep the budget down as much as possible, but you're absolutely right. It beats wasting valuable time trying to figure them out on your own.

+1 for Sunbridge. Have stayed there several times. Always nice and clean. Best boat parking available.

+2 Sunbridge. It is awesome. IF you are bringing 3 people they have one roome that has 3 beds.

flippin we all charge 400 dollars a day. I would be more than happy to put you fellas on some quality fish, but I am really jammed up the next few weeks. What days will you be here?
