I have been fishing this lake in famersville texas pretty hard the past two months... The biggest bass I have caught so far is around 2lbs. I have been fishing the edge of the cat tails which are about 5 feet deep and probably 13-20 ft off the bank and are really thick!!! From the end of the cat tails to the bank they are so thick you can't get a lure in them... I have met several guys there that fish the lake for yrs and have heard stories of 6-10lb bass coming out of the lake but I can't seem to catch anything bigger then 2 lbs.... The deepest the lake is around 14 ft down by the damn. The coves have been producing multiple fish just nothing with size ... There is tons of vegetation all over the lake Lilly pads and thick hydrilla all over the bottom of the lake if that helps with anyones suggestions .... I'm just looking to see if anyone has any suggestions to try to pull a bigger one out of this lake

Sounds like a fun little lake. I would guess that time on the water will make a difference. Keep plugging away and you will figure it out. Have you found any off shore structure?
you know, nothing wrong with seven men who met on the internet going for a swim together

I haven't found much just hydrila all throughout the lake and a few humps that go from 5 ft to about 8 but that's it... I really think they are barried up in the thick cat tails when it gets really still out there you can see the cat tails move around way in the back I'm wondering if night fishing would be better out here maybe they will come out of hose thick cat tails at night???
