Some guys from work and I are looking to go fishing in Galveston. So what should we fish for? Going around the end of the month. Talking about renting a boat. Any info would be great

I only go for Specks, Reds, and Flounders.

If you're using live bait:
- Live Shrimp on popping corks for Specks & Reds.
- Live Shrimp on Carolina Rigs for Flounders

As we approach late spring, the better times for me have always been early evening through early morning.

You can still catch fish (like croakers, whiting, gafftop) in the day time using dead shrimp and squid.

not sure where you can rent a boat here, you might try the west bay flats, the jetties,. I like a popping cork and live shrimp, sometimes gulp live. I like topwater this time of the year.
good luck
