I doubt it. If it is lower unit oil, it would have come from the seal on the prop shaft or the O-ring on the case. You would have to keep the engine tilted up almost horizontally for the oil to leak out there. Pull the prop and you will probably find the leak.

Shiftshaft seal. The reason the color is funny looking is because you have water mixing with gear lube inside the unit. Your l.u. needs a reseal job. Cary

Thank you guys. I'm supposed to get the motor in for a head gasket looks like I'll have them fix this up while they are at it. Thanks again.
