I might go to Calaveras this weekend looking for Reds. Just wondering if anyone can send me in the right direction. I am going with a buddy that has done pretty good there in the past. I would appreciate any info ya'll would like to divulge. Thanks, Exude

I have done pretty well on The Wall (cant miss it straight out from hte dock across from the Dam) but i usually dont fish it until april but whos to say you can lure fish for them with shad or perch colored rattle traps , spoons or bait fish for them with live perch or tilapia about 4ft under a balloon (Yes a regular round party balloon) if the wind is going twards the power plant the balloon acts like a sail so you can get your bait way up in the channel dont try to access the power plant intake channel by going on land it is taboo with the game warden. If the reds are in the intake channel you will know by the amount of people use caution if the wind kicks up that wall can be pretty dangerous. Good luck

Let me know where you catch'em I've never been able to catch any reds out there. If you know anybody that catches some from the bank let me too.
