I agree with itwasalladream. Brent Hopkins with Ace in the Hole guide service is the best in Rockport. You will limit out every time with him.

Jeff steckler is imo the top guide down their.
Goose island is great to launch from if your hitting the North back bays of San Jose, and st charles.
I find the fishing better from mud island south to the bridge. Put in Conn Brown

The Hampton Inn and Suites i believe to be the best place to stay!!!

If you are ok with pitching a tent go stay at Goose Island, great fishing, pier, access to all over.

Going to stay at goose island this weekend strating Friday and leaving Sunday.. Tent camping on the island side close to the pier. Might have to anchor myself down. The winds in Houston on friday is suppose to be 25-50mph. I hope it doesn't ruin my weekend. I'm bring all four of my yaks out. might have to bring frozen fish to throw on the grill if I catch nothing.
