Well, after getting skunked by the SA River the last few times i set lines, i decided to go back to my tried and trusted fishing hole in the Cibolo Creek in Czestahowa. I was not really expecting too big of fish, just some good eaters. I found out quickly that the blue gills were spawning and were hitting anything that i put in front of them. I ended up with enough bait for a trotline, a throwline and a bunch to put in an old freezer i am using as a live well. When i got out there this morning, i found that i had underestimated the fish in the Cibolo and that i had one that was much bigger than i was prepared to work with. I had to go find someone with a dipnet and ended up pulling out a 36" yellow cat. According to my scale at home, it was 24 pounds, but it looked much bigger and felt much bigger. I should have measured the girth on it. I also had 2 nice eater size channels under 5 pounds. If someone could send me their email who knows how to post pictures, i will send the pictures to you....i cant figure out how to add pics...lol
