Going to an Easter 'gathering' at a friends house on the lake this weekend directly across from the dam in a little cove and thought I'd take the boat and fish a little. I've never fished on CC and am wondering if the north or south end are historically any better than around the middle where we will be. Any advise would be appreciated!

Good luck I will be out there also. Where across from the dam? We are on the sw corner of lake, second cove from the dam. I will probably be chasing the whites and hybrids with my kids. Plenty of crappie on the lake in most places. I was catching them in a cast net while getting shad last weekend around docks in coves.

Fishing from 1'-2' of water weeds and small trees. Have some good line!

One of the houses in the little cove between Lake Dr. and Enchanted Dr. (slightly north of middle of pic) in this pic. Looks like plenty of docks to shoot. Maybe I'll see you out there!

Hey, Brent, you should post a pic of your boat and I'll keep and eye out for you this weekend...

I am not able to post a picture now. It is a white and blue Ranger center console. The blue is kind of an aqua blue color. I will have my 5 yr old son on the boat with me. Pm me your cell #.

bd, I believe you are talking about the spillway instead of the dam and it looks to me like you are going to be staying in Enchanted Oaks on the east side of the lake.
I have been fishing docs and find one or two per dock but, no concentrations. On brush piles, they seem to be on the shallower piles, 12' or so deep and I haven't picked up any that were deeper. Lots of people claim to be catching limits from the banks with minnows but, I haven't tried that so don't know for sure. Reports are good up on the north end in shallow water and I suspect these are good. Be very careful with your new boat if you decide to venture up north of the 334 bridge.
