I am looking to fish Somerville by boat. Hoping to catch a mess of crappie but only one problem. I've never fished Somerville before and could use some advice about where to look on the lake. Any info will be helpful. Thanks YALL!

I've only fished it twice but did well both times. Launched out of Big Creek Marina and head south to the timber at this time last year. Not sure how good it is now since the lake was so low this last summer. Hope this helps some.

Keep on fishing.

I think the marina name was Big Creek have to look at the map for sure. I know it was on the north side of the lake. Welcome to the forum.

Keep on fishing.

The lake is at normal pool doesnt matter where you put in, the best place to catch crappie on the lake is fishing any structure close to shallow water stumps, boat slips, rocks, even flooded bean bushes. Since the lake has come up there is lots of habitat for fish. Minnows or jigs under slip cork set for 2-3ft. hope this helps
