Currently I am using a 3000 puck..just acquired a 4000 .. are these much better? and if so why? many thanks for any help.

I recently had to replace my 2000 for the 4000 and did not notice a difference. I have lcx units.

If you decide to replace, I would keep the other for a back up. Don't know why but both my buddy's 3000 and my 2000 puck went out at the same time stored in the same location. Both replaced with 4000 and all is good.

When I installed my LGC-4000, I noticed that the Estimated Position Error (EPE) improved significantly with the LGC-4000 vs the LGC-3000 --- that is with a 520c unit. Previously the best EPE I could get was about 27 ft. With The LGC-4000 I get around 11 ft. on the 520c.
