The Trinity can produce both, but I just tried it out today for the first time in Fort Worth. I usually fish it in Arlington. We only caught 4 channels and 1 blue today but have caught some okay blues and nice flatty's in Arlington. Might be worth a shot to find some bank spots and hit it.

You can access it at Gateway park off of Beach St, North of 30 but not sure how good it is. Saw a lot of gar and carp and had some good runs, but only landed 3 channels there. Fished closer to downtown later in the day and landed a channel and a blue. I need more bank spots too!!!

The feeder creeks or water inlets off the Trinity at Yucca ave and 35 produce big blues. Fish across from them and spread lines. Most any section of the Trinity around downtown Fort Worth will produce big blues if you fish the bends, dams, and locations where the feeder creeks run into it. Might use live bait as well as cut because there is even bigger flatheads than there are blues. Hope this helps and Welcome to the TFF cheers

Right now if you want big blues all you have to do is go to your local lake fish off a windy point. Its spring. The shad are spawning. Get there before sunrise catch your bait and throw your lines out. All the blues you want to catch including some trophies.

Well Smoky ummmm you have to have water in your lake LOL! But yes if your lake has shad spawning you can catch all the blues you want on windy points. Been fishing this pattern since I was a boy. Same for every lake I have ever fished including ones in Florida when I lived there..
