A weightless worm, or a creature on a weighted hook maybe a jig if you want to go after pan fish

I would cast in TX-rigged worm (weightless) and a frog.

I've been doing pretty good in a couple of ponds that have a lot of algae and weeds lately using buzz baits...

Weightless T-rigged Senkos are killers on pond bass. Love yanking those things through the grass.

This month's Bassmaster was talking about weighted tubes. I haven't tried it yet, but if it doesn't work at least you aren't losing expensive gear.

Call me crazy but if the weed cover is matted. Texas rig a 12 inch worm with a one ounce sinker and drop it through the matt and hold on.

You dont need to move the worm at all once it gets to the bottom.

Its 12 inches, they know its there.
