Look for shallow water fresh bait is the best. Carp or shad this time of year

Not sure about the camping part, but I did okay at Brockdale Park yesterday. Lost a lot more than I caught, but still had a decent day...

Where is brockdale park, and what did you use? This is more of a trial and error on the camping.. Well at least for the location.

If you want a great camping experience and a chance for great catfishing go on down the road a little further to Tawokoni and go to Wind Point Park. Great little camp ground.

Brockdale is up on the north end of the Lake... I was using a variety of bait. Shad, cut perch, worms and shrimp. Had quite a few channel cat bites on the shrimp. Only one box blue, and a 16# carp on the worm. I got the shrimp from WalMart. It is like $6 in the frozen section in a bag.
