I am driving my wife's are students to the state art competition in Bryan on the Texas AM Campus, any fishing ponds near there. I may take a rod or two and do a little fishing.

The George Bush Presidential Library, on campus, has a pond behind it that holds fish. It is catch-and-release and you have to crimp the barbs down on your hooks. There are a few ponds around town that hold fish but get a lot of pressure so it can be tough at times. There is also a pond in front of the police station in College Station, the Target in Bryan has a large pond behind it and the SAMs in College Station has a pond behind it as well. I copied the CSTX website with a little more info on some local ponds, hope this helps!
