Just posted this in the bass forum for the tournament this weekend, but wanted to update the crappie guys also. I just stepped off the 380 bridge. As you might have guessed the water is up, about four feet, and stained brown. Actually not that muddy though. No wind, beautiful weather. Fished a black and chartreuse tube jig just off the rocks, around brush, and casted out. Didn't get a bite. Finally, there are bugs everywhere. Pic 1 details  Pic 2 details

It will probably be well into April before the crappie move in. If they move in.

mdobs I think you and I spoke briefly when you arrived. I walked all the way to the east end and jigged with chart/black, white/chart and red/white without a bite. Glad it wasnt my abilities affecting the fish. The gar and carp were feeling frisky in the far end. Lots of them following females and going shallow. Maybe next time.
