we went out the other day and absolutely nailed the cats on the trinity right off 360 in arlington. afterwards on the walk back, we ran into a city of arl worker who said that as long as we didnt eat any more than 5 pounds a week, we "should" be ok. we released all of the fish, (a bunch of healthy channels and a few flats that went to 15 pounds), but we are startin to wonder... any thoughts?

If they have to put a restriction on how much you eat, it's not worth eating IMHO

eating the fish from the trinity will not hurt you if you eat them in moderation it doesnt matter where you eat fish from if you eat enough of it every week you will get sick due to fish naturally having a small amount of mercury in them

fish to live and live to fish

If its off of 360 I'm guessing near trinity blvd. I have caught most everything on cut buffalo in the trinity including blues, flatty's, channels, bass, snappers and alligator snappers. Oh, and gator gar!

360 runs over the trinity but I'm not sure of access around there. There are some trails to the West right under the railroad tracks but there is a locked age and I believe it is illegal to drive back there. Not 100% sure though. I used to ride my motorcycle back there but got asked not to about a month ago. Never fished that spot though.

May try Fort Worth. I have a decent spot behind my house but you have to go through fenced yards to get down there. I know there are spots off of 30 and beach. Not sure how good they are but the river is fairly wide there.
