I wouldn't spend my money on a cordless. I use the Mister Twister from Academy only because they replace it when it breaks. I know some other guides use the Black and Decker from walmart because it's only $12.

Yep a cheap electric knife will do the trick. I also the Mister Twister from Academy and it works fine. It goes on sale all the time for $19.

IMO cordless does not have the torque/power of a plug in, Mister Twister gets my vote everytime. Cheap and plenty of torque/power.

The old American Angler Ultra was an epic knife. I still use American Angler knives. They have great replacement blades (shark) and a excellent motor.

Mister Twister saltwater version from academy...it even survived a soaking from the rains over spring break to clean a bunch of Tawakoni catfish.

Whatever you do dont buy a Rapala from walmart. They suck bad! I bought one last weekend and it doesn't have enough power to cut hot butter. I made the biggest mess out of a bunch of sandbass you have ever seen with that piece of junk.

There is no single 'best' fillet knife, alot has to do with how it fits your hand and what kind of fish you clean most of the time. Kinda like asking what a best fishing rod is.
With that said however, I would highly recommend a Forschner knife if you can find money for it.

10-4 on the original American Angler, still going strong and the replacement blades still fit the older unit. I bought one of the newer ones a couple years ago as a back up. It didn't last the season. I don't like the twister, I like the black and decker better.

Anybody ever use the Berkley electric knife. Bass Pro had them on sale a week ago for $19. I started to buy one but never heard anyone give a review on them so I past.
