18" min on them. I caught 2 out there one day. A 2# and a 4.21# and never caught another one out there.

There are quite a few in Ivie. And some really nice ones to boot!
I'm averaging about 3-4 a year out there Really not a large enough population to target so is just been finding them fishing for largemouth

I caught a smallmouth on my only trip to ivie last year. I caught it on a spook and it was around 4 pounds. I caught several big largemouth up to 9 pounds on that trip, but the smallmouth definately made the trip for me.

There's still some really nice smallies in the lake. They would highlight my customer's day on the lake with their big jumps and fighting power. The lake record is around 5 3/4 pounds. My largest smallie there is around 4 pounds. They seem to have spread all over the lake now. They used to just hang out around the dam. But, some have recently been caught even up the rivers.
Several years ago, we would catch them schooling and hitting top water baits. You could catch 20 or so a day. I was in one school of them having a blast when I caught a 9.97 largemouth out of the middle of them.
The best baits for them are a shakey head with a real shad or green pumpkin worm, a real shad Senko and a crawdad crankbait. We caught a few last year on white spinnerbaits in the Gatlin Creek area.

I've caught a bunch of them up around the dam on a yellow magic several in the 3lb range.
