Went this morning and caught three teenagers and one got off about 30 ft. from the bank when it hit sand/mud. The water is about 6" deep from that point to the bank and I was wondering what the best way to land a bigger fish like that without losing it?

Sometimes you just gotta get dirty or wet. I've swam out after one or two before. Get you some waders for the winter and early spring fishing, they will help you get lines out further and it sure is fun wading out to a big cat and having him swim circles around you

In my experience with landing big fish from the bank, it has always been easier, the fish are wore down and as you pull them into the shallows they get in shallower and shallower and loose mobiliy and you just grab them, but im sure it varies alot with bank conditions.
