Nothing wrong with being prepared. I have been accused of being really, REALLY prepared before. So much goes through your head when you're prepping for a fishing trip. The good trips you've had in the past, the game plan you have for your future trip. Easy for me to get carried away.

Good luck to yall and if she cathes a nice one, just nudge her a little and tell her "You're Welcome!" wink

My wife gives me the same look when I tie up a whole mess of leaders for catfishing. I usually just buy the pre snelled hooks from eagle claw for sunnies. Then I just triple overhand knot the main line to the loop. I hate tying on small hooks. I tend to stick my self with them a lot.

I always find myself getting ready one or two days in advance of a fishing trip. Every thing from tying hooks to getting tackle organized. I kind of like doing it. thumb

My wife says I spend more time/thought on preparing for a fishing trip than I do taking care of the house, preparing for a (non-fishing) vacation, etc. And she's right!

well i spent all that time snelling hooks and getting the other stuff ready to go sunny fishing and as soon as we get to the lake all the girls(wife, too) started complaining. they didn't want to fish for sunnies, they wanted to go catfishing, lol. i spent the next couple of hours running in between the girls putting bait on, putting hooks and weights back on, again and again. my wife caught one little greenie about 6 inches long and i only had the occasional moment to even think about trying to fish myself. we did catch 4 cats and released them to grow a little. never did get to take any pics though, never really got to set down either.girls are 7,11,16 and i'd get kilt for telling you. whip
