Im wanting to buy a 12 jon boat from a guy.. Boat is currently registered He has title the was signed over to him but he did not title him self... Can I mark off his name and title in my name? I have done that with a car before...

Definitely not. No strike overs or white outs allowed on a title. Its is also illegal to jump a transfer, even though I know that it is done. Only right and legal way is to transfer it into the sellers name and then into yours. Probably can be done at the same time. The state wants their tax money!!!!.Hope this helps
