Hi, just wanted to get some opinions on an upgrade to my trailer. I have an alumacraft bayinvader that is just short of 20' long. It has 4 carpeted wood bunks on it now that measure 8' and 12'. I am toying with the idea to put on some roller bunks from cabelas. They only come in 4 and 5' lengths though. I was thinking the 5' ones might work, they are rated for 3000 lbs. I was just curious on how shortening the bunks may affect my boat/trailer if at all. Any thoughts on the topic would be appreciated. Thanks

the main thing with the roller type, is you have to be sure and leave the boat hitched at the bow when backing down or pulling out or you stand a great chance of dumping your load on the ramp..
sorry,I have no clue about the lenghts

Naw,man. Stay with the same size carpeted bunks. Spray some Liquid Rollers on the bunks.

Thanks, I had never heard of the liquid rollers, but it sounds like it should work for what I need it to. I google searched it and found people using just regular silicone spray to even armor all instead of the liquid rollers (because of the cost). Anyone use the silicone spray or armor all??

I've used floor wax for years. Works great, and there's no need to wait until the carpet is completely dry before applying.
