Yeah... ATC Fever is in Full Effect!!

Ever since I told my wife I'm going to the ATC (about 12:30 this afternoon), I've been in Tourney Mode. I'm finishing the appropriate laundry, organizing my gear, and setting the schedule with Rick and Jim.

See y'all there!!

Chad

I've had that fever since Sunday when bait preparation was started for Brid and I.

Baits are all done, rod checked out, reels rebuilt, line check on all reels, new shock leaders, 30 new rigs made up, the list goes on.........

See you Thursday evening guys

Looks like you guys are going to get some nice weather during the event. Hope you don't mind me asking but what made you decide to hold it in February vs March this year?

Hmmmm, doesn't seem logical to me? Out of 10 atc's one of them came partially in the spawn. February is not a numbers of fish month. It can have its good days but generally there is still plenty of cold days left in the year so fishing can be tough. ESP in bluebird sky days after a cold front.

To me the main reasons are - two weekends of SXSW causing huge traffic issues and two other weekends with major boat races closing off sections of the lake making them impossible to fish.

Spawn, pre-spawn, post-spawn makes no real big difference to the fishing, weather conditions do make a difference, so does location, amount of daylight, how many people are fishing - can't factor everything in to make a perfect event.

Perfect example is the WCC year long events - every one is on a Saturday, thus precluding anyone who works Saturdays from fishing the events, why not some on Sundays?
