While I haven't used a Quantum I have a bunch of Ducketts from 7-6 Hvy to 7-10 Extra Hvy and I LOVE them. Super sensitive, very light, and strong as heck!

How many pics of giants do you want me to post caught on those "others that are junk" ??? lol

Scott if you want to try a Duckett give me a shout. I have been pleased with them and a great rod in that price range.

Outof those 3 I would choose Duckett.

Other than those 3...I love my Dobyns.

I have two Quantum 8' Gary Kline flipping sticks.
I bought a second one since they are that good!
If you are using heavy line stay away from micro guided rods.

One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!

Probably won't go wrong with either. Be a personal choice deal.
I use Falcon, but I ain't no famous name. I manage to land one every now and again, and the Falcons have served me well, but if it ain't white, or orange, or blue....it ain't worth squat now.
Oh well, I don't catch that many anyway. Course I ride a Champion, and that sure ain't vogue now either. Guess I got to old for all this trendy cagada. smile

White rods are gay.

That Biffle rod isn't for just anybody. If you don't like broomsticks you won't like this rod. It's a lot stiffer than most, definitely more than a Duckett. It's more like the old Falcon pool cue or the El Torro. Both will wear you out but will cross eyes when you need to.
