caught a big orange fish out of the neches river, well it broke my line before i got it to the bank but it looked kind of like a big gold fish,whitesh orange in color, i dont know what kind of fish it was please help, thanks

Sounds like a Koi fish to me. May have been a carp as well but white and orange definitely sounds like a koi fish!

koi are carp, just bred to be colorful. Def sounds like a carp, the hardest pulling fish in fresh water

gold fish. go to youtube and put in goldfish. you will see some big nasty goldfish caught out of all kinds of places. they used to be in my local park in irving growing up.

White AND orange: probably a koi.

Whitish orange: could've just been a common carp.

Even a lot of common carp can have nice color to them. Some of the smaller ones are really bright atleast in my personal experience.
