Here at the City Lake they placed another 2500 on the 14th last week. I have been two days in arow, nothing. 0 catch.
Fishing on bottom, under cork at different depths. Tried little inline spinners. Used corn, worms, and small marshmellows.
All line downsized to 4lb flurocarbon.
What am I doing wrong?

Nothing,they are very hard to catch.I have watched 30-40 different people including myself using everything and striking out.However,I have found putting the corn in a bag and putting garlic powder in it works great.When all else fails,I have seen success with minnows.

Buddy been doing well with the Gulp Trout baits.......

When I was stationed at Ft Knox, Ky there was a stream that was stocked with rainbows. The only thing they would bite was the Kraft garlic squeeze cheese in the small Bologna shaped tubes. I tried to make my own garlic cheese, but they wouldn't touch it.

Tried again this evening for 3 hours.
Nada again on Trout.
Did manage 2 8" crappie though.

If they are fed those brown pellets, use that power bait. Also white corn with some anise oil may catch some. I noticed that a pond/lake that has a lot of pressure the trout will hit something "new" try a pistol pete.

But here in NM, put a sinker on the bottom, a snelled hook 10" up and put corn and salmon eggs combo, 12" above that another snelled hook and put a real worm. Little marshmellows, velveta cheese are some of the things people use here too. Fish off the bottom here 90% of the time.

Try Berkley power worms. I use the worms, powerbait, Mikes floating, & corn mostly. Even crappie jigs work well at times. Color seems to be the key with trout. Floats work best on cloudy days with a little wind. Catching those buggers can involve a lot of experimenting. After they have been in the pond a while I will use small minnows also. Trout normally relate to the bottom so I usually tight line with as light a weight as possible. The problem with some of the lakes around Dallas is they are too big. I do best in the smaller ones. Water flowing in is definitely a good spot to be.
