I just received an email with a news flash from BASS magazine. The header was "BASS Open on Lewisville was one of the toughest in BASS history". They really didn't bad mouth the lake as much as they did the cold, wind, muddy water and the lake rising over 4 ft in just a few days..

If they would have held the tourney there a month later, it would have been smokin'. It's nowhere the tuffest fishery we have so im glad they didn't bad mouth it.

Lewisville is a heavily pressured lake even without the Open. Two weeks before the tournament was decent fishing. After the cold front and the increased boat traffic, the fish shut down. We don't have as many stupid fish left in our lake so they are harder to catch. I must agree with Tim. LL is never smokin'. It does however provide a place near home to go catch a few nice fish.

Fished it yesterday-Only got a few hours in my favorite creek
and couldn't swing one. 56 degrees where I was and water was still quite murky but a bit better... I mainly threw a spook and Y-Magic... Shad were really tight in the rotting vegatition and a few hawgs smashed'em purdy hard! Got me excited but i couldn't quite reach'em...Allways a challenge!

Simon Peter said to them "I am going fishing" They said "We are going fishing also."

The lake was tough but i like them when they are like that. These types of tournaments are a lot easier to win then if everyone is catching them.

Who cares if they would have bashed it. If you like the lake that's all that matters, but trying to convince people that it is a great lake is a joke. Maybe if it was located in another state, but this is Texas, lewisville is for sure one of the poorer fisheries in this state.

I have a friend that was catching the smack out of them before the lake came up, he was thinking it was going to take 55 lbs to win over 3 days, I zeroed both days on the non boater, so did both boaters, did not learn anything, boaters were not on anything, I did learn not to fish Looserville until March.

I think you meant "LOSERVILLE" but you can only call it that if it's your home lake. I believe "LOOSERVILLE" is were the bad girls fish.
