Lake Winnsboro crappie barge is one of the best. it is in deep water and they keep their brush piles fresh so it regularly produces good catches.
It is owned by mike and brenda who also own the Lake Store Marina & RV Park-903-629-3214. they were closed for a month, reopening thurs or fri.
We just restocked their hand tied jigs today, and their guy who supplies their minnows and plastic jigs was there also. they also have a restaurant with good food.
Beautiful city and lake. Good fishing on a really clean barge. Friendly folk. Great lodging-Hubbell Mansion B&B. Great restaurants in the town.
