Ramp at elm creek is still useable .just be careful and take it easy fishing has been slow there,J.R howard or Hag can give you more info on the fish.

I find it hard to believe fishing is that tough on a lake that's 20% full haha but I have pond fished before so I guess I can believe it.

That 20% is still 40' or more deep dang wouldn't think it was even that. Someone posted of pic of the lake the other day and it was sad to say for sure. I use to go there quite a bit when I was a kid. I think it's terrible what Snyder is about to do to that lake.

This not good news for Ivie but bottom line is it is a water supply lake. They will bring in portable pumps to get all the water they can if necessary. We have about 10' of water over the end of our ramp, that should get us through June if we do not get any rainfall. Praying for rain.......Jerry Hunter @elm creek last week.

The fishing is still tough there. But, it's "big girl" time on Ivie. I honestly think the reason it's so tough is that the shad are in the open water, with little cover to hide in now. The fish are just following (and feeding on) the deep, suspended balls of shad in the river channels. Take you some DD22's and some flutter spoons and look for the shad. You won't get a lot of bites, but the fish you catch will be good ones.
Try the ledges next to the main river channel with a PBJ or green pumpkin jig. Fish it really slow, barely taking it off the bottom, if any at all. There's a few places that the main river channel has stair step ledges with flat areas off the first drop. These flat landings have some good trees on them. The problem is getting the big girls out of the trees. If you hook one in that scenario, turn the boat out to the main channel and get her off that ledge and away from the trees.
Yes, Ivie is really low. But, it's a super deep lake. So, we still have plenty of really good, deep water. You won't have a problem putting in at Elm Creek at all. I would however, suggest that you use the middle ramps. The ramp to the far West end has a drop off on the side, toward the end.

If the bass are too slow for you, find some shallow trees/stick ups in 2-5 feet of water and throw some stink bait on a trebble hook out. Some friends of mine did this at Ivie last fri-sat and came home with 80-90 cats!

Hate to hear doing to Ivie what they did to Meredith, they put the pumps in the lake gone. Meredith was a 100ft deep now they say 30ft but that must be one spot by dam. All are lakes in the panhandle going dry (SUCKS)!!!!!!!!!!
